By storing the cross-connect portion of the circuit in a UL 94V-0 rated protective flexible tube, the required card or backplane mounting real estate is minimized.

Durable low profile fan-out assemblies provide lower cost transition from ribbon to 900um fiberCompact, durable, and cost-effective fan-out assemblies utilizing Concours™ Optical Circuit technology are now available from US Conec. These fan-out assemblies transition one or more multi-fiber ribbons into individual 900um buffered fibers for termination to any single-fiber or duplex connector type. The transition is protected with a compact hard backing that adds strength to the low profile design.
