The proliferation of optical networking equipment and components is accelerating the need for custom arrayed fiber management tools to minimize cost, increase density, and eliminate complexity. Optical fiber circuits provide a useful tool to tackle these challenges by integrating multiple fibers into a single, compact, custom designed unit.

Custom designed optical circuits from US Conec offer two fundamental utilities:

1. Interchange of individual fibers from multiple arrayed fiber connections creating an optical cross-connect.
2. A pre-engineered fiber management solution which strategically positions fiber around other optical or electrical components in the system.

US Conec offers two optical circuit styles:

Concours® Optical Circuits - Planar, flexible
• Fiber is uniquely stored on a flexible substrate which offers maximum flexibility without the concern for delamination.

Concours® NP Optical Circuits - Non-planar
• The cross-connect portion of the circuit is stored in a protective flexible tubing. Non-planar optical circuits offer dense cross-connect functionality in applications non suitable for storage of a planar flex circuit.
