In house technology development focuses on high precision molded and metal parts for active O-E modules, novel connector designs, fiber management flexible circuits and improved tools for fiber termination and cleaning. The base of these skills is over 15 years of experience in materials, mold design, and nanometer scale metrology used in molding millions of MT-style ferrules for demanding requirements, such as up to 100 fibers or for low insertion loss.

Material Logistics Associate, Hickory, NC
(Reporting to Materials Supervisor)
· Provide accurate, timely shipments to customers while maintaining inventory control.
·
Provide timely and accurate ERP receipt and distribution of all incoming shipments
Major Responsibilities
· Pick, label, check, confirm and package daily customer orders per documented US Conec procedures.
· Receive shipments from suppliers, verify accuracy of packing slips and distribute materials to warehouse and/or inspection as required.
· Place inspected materials into the proper inventory location/bin always maintaining a FIFO system.
· Perform kitting and assembly operations as required for customer orders.
· Perform daily cycle counts. Investigate / resolve discrepancies under the direction of the Distribution Facilitator.
· Communicate inventory discrepancies to Customer Service and Materials Management.

· Personal Computers with ERP software, labeling software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
· Bar code equipment and label
· Hand-held calculators
· Weigh counters
· Domestic and international shipping documentation
· Packaging materials and equipment
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
· General knowledge of equipment listed in section 3.
· Experience in both shipping and production environments preferred.
· Demonstrated verbal and math skills necessary to (1) read and understand pack/pick slips and (2) verify counts of quantities of small parts that may be in the hundreds of thousands.
· Color recognition (may not be color blind).
· High school diploma or G.E.D.
· Purchasing experience a plus.
· Knowledge of JDE or equivalent ERP software preferred.
· Associates Degree in Business a plus.
Hours: While training 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; then regular schedule 11:00 am – 7:00 pm.
This is a Level 2 Temporary to Regular full time position.
