CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT/REPRESENTATIVE, Hickory, NC
We are a small, growth-oriented company with flexible work hours and a low political structure. We invite you to explore the following opportunity available at our headquarters in Hickory, NC.
In this position you will become a primary contact between customers and US Conec. You’ll be able to offer technical assistance on US Conec products and services while maintaining excellent working relationships.
The Customer Service Assistant will enter and expedite orders, prepare shipping and export documentation, maintain customer service files, and participate with order scheduling, quotes, routing, returns, invoicing and credits. A strong desire to become knowledgeable of US Conec’s products, tools, and services is a must. You’ll be responsible for gaining knowledge of US Conec’s credit policy and obtaining credit information from the customer. Assisting the Customer Service Manager with clerical responsibilities such as letters on sales leads, product releases, and literature and samples are important activities in which you will participate.
To be successful in this position, you should be a high school graduate with previous customer service or sales experience. Experience with Enterprise systems such as JD Edwards/PeopleSoft, SAP, or Oracle is preferred. Customer Service requires excellent verbal/written communication skills, pleasant voice quality, high energy level, strong problem-solving abilities, accurate typing & computer skills, flexibility, and teamwork.
