Carrier Network Cabling
As fiber is increasingly being deployed by telecom carriers worldwide, US Conec products are increasingly being used within these architectures. MT ferrules have historically been used in the NTT network in Japan for connecting trunk lines, both aerially and underground. The same ferrule technology is being deployed in the US and other areas of the world in proprietary connector systems primarily in the access portion of carrier networks. More recently, MPO technology has been introduced into FTTH architectures. Used to aggregate fibers for quick deployment and efficient cable management primarily within MDU (multi-dwelling units), 12 fiber and 24 fiber connectors are seeing wider scale acceptance by a variety of carriers throughout the world.
